Dan Snyder
Dan Snyder is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lower, a modern homeownership platform headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Dan caught the entrepreneurial bug in his twenties, when buying his first home showed him firsthand how ownership builds wealth, and he started Lower to bring that opportunity to more people.
Under his leadership, Lower has grown into a top 25 home lender and the largest VC backed lender in the country, public or private. An Ohio native, Dan raised the largest Series A in state history ($100M) from Accel and SoFi in 2021, and in 2025 led the acquisition of Movoto, making Lower the operator of the fifth largest real estate portal in the country.
Dan always talks about leaning forward, and that principle has guided Lower's technology evolution through the years. Lower is one of only a handful of companies that runs its own end to end technology, the result of a bet on AI Dan placed early, launching LOAi in 2018, years before the industry caught on. Today, AI powers many of Lower's systems and workflows natively, and that commitment to innovation earned Lower a place on Fast Company's list of the World's Most Innovative Companies.
Dan's leadership has been recognized across both the housing and technology worlds. He is a HousingWire Vanguard award winner, a two time Glassdoor Top CEO winner, finishing 4th in the country one year, and was named one of the Top 50 Financial Technology CEOs.
He credits all of it to the team and culture at Lower. Dan lives in Columbus with his wife and children.
